The Client

About Latitude Commodities

Latitude Commodities is a specialist meat and protein exporter based in Auckland, with trading offices in Montevideo and Sydney. They source beef, lamb, offal, seafood, dairy, poultry, and more from across the Southern Hemisphere and supply buyers worldwide.

They operate at serious scale, with a 15-person team across three countries and supply relationships spanning New Zealand, Australia, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and beyond.

The Problem

What wasn't working

1

The existing site looked dated and template-built, a poor first impression for buyers evaluating a global trading partner.

2

No sense of scale. Nothing communicated offices across three countries or the breadth of the product range.

3

The design did not match the calibre of the business or the markets they operate in.

Before and After

The transformation

Before
×Light, template-built design
×Generic corporate feel
×No sense of global scale
×Products buried in navigation
×Nothing to differentiate from competitors
After
Dark, premium identity built for international buyers
Full-viewport hero with immediate clarity on what they do
Three offices in three countries, front and centre
Ten product categories with full imagery and sourcing detail
Typography and design that signals scale and permanence
Our Approach

The decisions that shaped the site

Every choice was made with one buyer in mind: someone evaluating a new supplier from the other side of the world.

1
Dark, premium identity
The old site read like a generic corporate template. International commodity buyers judge credibility on first impression. We went dark, editorial, and stripped back so Latitude looks like a company that moves serious volume.
2
Full-viewport hero
Most B2B export sites open with a nav bar and a paragraph. We opened with a full-screen image of product and a single line: Specialist Meat and Protein Exporters. No ambiguity about what they do or who they are.
3
Locations front and centre
Buyers care where your offices are. Auckland, Montevideo, Sydney. Putting all three locations on the homepage immediately communicates global reach, not just a NZ-only supplier.
4
Product-first layout
Ten product categories, each with full-bleed imagery and a clear sourcing description. Buyers can scan fast and see whether you stock what they need, without reading a wall of text.
5
Typography that commands authority
Wide-set uppercase letterforms throughout. It signals permanence and scale, the right cues for a company dealing in international volumes with major buyers.
